Why Buy From Potentially Tragic?
Okay, we get it. You’ve probably seen dozens, perhaps even hundreds, of clothing brands in your Facebook feeds. So, why should you buy from Potentially Tragic? Are we actually safe? Do we actually sell shirts? What’s even going on!?
First, calm down. We get it. We’re new, and untrusted. I mean, how can you possibly trust us, when we literally have tragic in our name? Sure, sure. Fair point. As a counter? Well, we also have potentially.
See, Potentially Tragic is a clothing brand owned and operated by Sidular. Despite this particular brand being new, we’ve actually been selling merch for years, as part of Sidular’s other brands and services. Whether it’s for our esport team, or for Sidular itself, we’re not new to the world of clothing.
We are also very transparent in how we operate. No joke, you can ask us anything, and we’ll answer it truthfully, and to the best of our ability. Odds are, if you saw an ad for one of our products on Facebook, we’ll also have some level of live support available for you to chat with. You can also just message us over on Facebook, and we’ll reply back as soon as we can. So yeah, wanna know what our profit margins are? Ask us!
But you’re new, so how do I know my information is actually safe with you?
Simply put, there are only ever going to be two parties capable of viewing your private information.
- Us, Potentially Tragic. This includes Tyler Harvey (founder and owner of Sidular) and Jessica Darosa (graphic artist and partner). We’re a two person operation. Jessica doesn’t really handle much of the logistics though, so odds are, it’ll only ever be Tyler that can see or interact with customer information.
- Our shipping and clothing supplier, so that they can actually, ya know, ship the clothing to you.
When you buy a shirt on Potentially Tragic, we automatically forward your shipping information over to our supplier, which for reference, is Printful. They immediately begin work on getting your order ready, and will ship it out from one of their many global locations.
Neither Potentially Tragic or Printful has access to your billing information. We cannot see your credit card data, banking statements, or anything else of the sort. We use PayPal, so everything is paid securely through them. We are also looking into using Stripe in the near future. Same deal there, though. We won’t see your sensitive payment information. Only PayPal can.
All in all, we want for this thing to be as awesome as possible. We’ve got a reputation to keep, after all!
Oh, and for those of you wondering how shipping rates are calculated? We don’t actually calculate shipping ourselves, but instead rely on Printful’s live shipping rates. For that reason, the shipping rate can change depending on multiple factors, such as time of day, weight, the number of items you order, where the shirt itself is coming from, and other factors including which carrier we use! We will always use the fastest and cheapest option for your chosen address, which could include FedEx, traditional postal services (like Canada Post or USPS), DHL, and others.
We do not make any profit on shipping. What we charge is exactly what it costs to ship. Oh, and all prices are in Canadian dollars.
